Our design have been inspired by the process of turning soft malleable clay into straight edged pottery using the colours of Cornwall’s clay mines, where minerals turn pit lakes shades of blue and plants grow green in white granite. We’ve written this on the bottom of the mug so you’ll always remember!

PROVENANCE
The design is by my daughter Imogen Dawe and then realised for us by Duchess China in Stoke: a business that was founded in 1881. The mug is made from Cornish china clay so a totally British product to support our industries and to minimise our transport miles and carbon footprint.
The process of turning clay into a finished mug takes about a week with skilled craftsmanship involved at every stage so over 20 pairs of hands can touch a single product in the various stages of the process. utilising the skill base of our local workforce while also offering the sustainability of fully British made fine bone china products.

Duchess China draw their skilled workforce from the local area and producing fully British made fine bone china products from their factory in Stoke.

2nd class postage and packing to anywhere in the UK is included and a free gift tag too.
Your mug will be safely packed in British sourced packaging. Nestling in Yorkshire hay makes opening the box a treat with the sight and smell of summer hay.
