This honey was taken from the bees he keeps in his back garden in August.. It's a floral heady, woody, rose garden honey that makes your mouth water!  The bees produced just enough for Simon to take enough to fill 125 jars so it really is a limited edition honey

Limited edition: 1 of  only 125 jars

Size: 224g / 8oz jars

The story of the beekeeper included

PROVENANCE

Simon has been keeping bees in his back garden since lockdown when his Sailing Club had to close, so he turned to beekeeping for a distraction. He has thrown himself in to it, now Chair of the Eastbourne Beekeeping Association and loving studying and learning all he can about bees, flowers and the beekeeping craft. He’s enjoying introducing his young children to beekeeping and excited to develop his own, and others’, knowledge of all things bee-related.

This honey was made by the bees once the bramble was out and flowering. It won’t be the only nectar making up this honey though, with the bees surrounded by wonderful gardens and mature trees.

SUSTAINABILITY

We work with small scale British beekeepers who we visit to talk bees with and see the bees and landscapes that make each honey. All of our beekeepers are good custodians of their bees and the woodlands, meadows, gardens and fields they keep them in. They talk to local farmers, landowners, fellow allotment owners and councils to encourage planting for pollinators, sustainable woodland management and protecting the natural landscape for their bees.  Our aim is to bring you special limited edition honeys from more and more British beekeepers: as long as they're good custodians of their bees of course!

Our jars and labels are all British sourced to keep our transport miles and carbon footprint low. We absorb the extra cost

DELIVERY

Sent by 2nd class tracked postage with Royal Mail, with postage charged depending on weight. So my Top Tip - postage on 2 or 3 jars costs the same as it does for one jar, just saying ;)

Our honeys are safely packed in Yorkshire hay and British sourced cardboard boxes, Opening the box is a treat with the sweet smell of summer and our jar of honey nestling inside.
